May 2010 Newsletter IMPORTANT - MEMBER UPDATES NEEDED Except on an individual basis, most of our membership records have not been updated for many, many years! We are asking that all members complete a new membership application so that we can update emergency information, update our newsletter mailing list, see what interest you have in new activities, update our Senior Club membership list and more. In this month‟s newsletter, you will notice an application for the Senior Center. Please bring or mail the completed membership application to the Center. Instead of bringing it in, you may pick up an application the next time you are at the Center and fill it out while you are there. We want to complete this process as soon as possible. Anyone that does not have a new application filled out within a few months will be dropped from the newsletter mailing list. Thank you for your cooperation. Center Hours The center is open Monday through Friday from 9:30am to 4:00pm. Call us anytime at 692-7029. We have a health maintenance room with several pieces of exercise equipment for use by seniors 55 years of age and older. This room is open daily until 3:30pm. Thank you to Joe Bussi and George Brooks for their extra efforts to make the Tax Assistance Program successful. In order to continue this program volunteers are needed . Adams Even if the whole world could be mine, With every single wish at my command, And if I had the widest choice of friends, Sweetly fulfilled in my well-laid plans, And if I were to choose What in life mattered most to me, I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, Twould be my mother, yes, it would be she. Who else through life, except my God above, Remained steadfast, unmovable, and true? Who, with a word of love and patient care, Bore me up and every wave subdued? Who gave unstintingly of herself And never counted costs, though vast they were? I only know that God loaned her to me, And I will always love and cherish her. Though the kings of this world have wealth untold And their coffers overflow with jewels rare, When one has a mother valued at great price No earthly things can quite compare. Happy Mother‟s Day!
