When you renew you motor vehicle registration and licenses in person at one of Erie County Auto Bureau offices, you ensure that Erie County, rather than New York State, receives 12.7% of the transaction fee.  If you renew on-line or by mail, the County does not receive any of the much needed revenue - it all goes to NYS.  Every dollar brought in to the County is one less dollar needed through taxes. 

The Auto Bureau office now has a drop box available for vehicle registrations for customers who do business before and after office hours when City Hall is open.
